How to make a successful festive cocktail party like on Pinterest

Pinterest is full of gorgeous pictures, trendy cocktails and breathtaking deco.

But how to make a successful festive cocktail party like on Pinterest?

On October 25th, we had the opening night at Dream It Yourself. Our mission was big: organize a festive cocktail party like on Pinterest with 70 people.

The concept is simple, the guests are expected at 5pm in an enchanting setting to have a drink and bouchées in a cozy atmosphere.

We share our 3 secrets for a successful cocktail with you !

Secret n ° 1: The buffet

What a challenge to offer a quality buffet to your guests! On top of being beautiful, it must also be delicious and easy to eat.

Our buffet was divided in two spaces: a table with salty bouchées and a shelf with sweet things.

For the salty stuff, we had mini salty pies and a large cheese plate with figs and grapes.

A beautiful plate of cheese yes, but not without the detail Pinterest that kills: their small labels to identify them!

-For the sweet food, we had a beautiful shelf filled with small bites and beautiful cakes.

Colorful glasses add a punchy touch to your buffet! And no fear of breaking, they are plastic.

Much more funky than plain water, it’s just as good as beautiful!

We even give you our recipe:

1: Pour fresh water (or water with ice cubes) into 3/4 of the jar

2: Cut slices of lemons and limes and put them in the water

3: Add blackberries, raspberries and fresh mint then 2 cups of lemon juice to add taste

4: Refresh with frozen red berries

5: Let infuse and place in the freezer if possible

6: Enjoy!

Secret n°2 :The decoration

At Dream It Yourself, we are lucky to have a place with charm: wooden floor, brick walls and central canopy. However, we had to decorate it to make it magical!

At Dream It Yourself we love eucalyptus! In bouquet or a few branches on the table to decorate, it has the advantage of not getting tired and remains beautiful long enough.

Flowers is our thing! Their power is amazing! More conventional in bouquet, we chose the floral composition deposited delicately on our buffet. To stay in the natural spirit, we replaced the traditional trays with pieces of wood.
